Carpet Cleaning, before and after moving!

The absolute best time for carpet cleaning is when your floor is free of everything. That always
Clean Carpet prior to moving in!
means prior to moving in, or after moving out. Being a military family we certainly understand all the intricacies involved in moving. And we know not everyone will be able to allow the time needed to have your carpets professionally cleaned and then dryed. However we think you should understand it is very advantageous to have the work completed now. So try very hard to take advantage of the opportunity presented. It's easier on the Carpet technician as he won't have to move anything, and can spend all his time on things like spot removal, or dry stroking to remove as much water as possible. It is the perfect time to complete a deep clean. See:

You should allow for 2 full days of dry time time if you can. It is also a great time use deodorizer as carpets can develop a musty scent form being locked up too long.
One of the best things that a carpet cleaner can do in an empty room versus one crowded with belongings is to work in both directions. This will often be the key in removing that last bit of a spot that just won't come out.    __________________________________________________________________________________

Tip of the day:
If the carpet was cleaned upon the last homeowner or tenant moving out, but it has been a while, and while the carpet is still clean it has developed a musty smell. Just sprinkle a bit of baking soda on your carpet, rake lightly with a carpet rake to spread it and get good even coverage over the whole carpet. Allow it to remain on the carpet for at least an hour or so, and perhaps overnight if the level of offensive odor requires it. Makes sure you have a good vacuum with a good, working beater brush to remove all of the baking soda.

  1. Visited your website and saw your 10 step Deep Clean Process, for carpet cleaning. Sounds like you do great work! The last time I had my carpet cleaned they just sprayed it on and did not rake it in.
